Turkmenistan and Japan are increasing trade and economic cooperation

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Japan, met with Emperor Naruhito on April 15, TDH reports.

During the meeting, the presence of enormous potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries was noted. Japan is known for its high technology and high level of industrialization. In turn, Turkmenistan, which has colossal natural resources, seeks to use them effectively with the involvement of Japanese technologies.

As was emphasized, in recent years, Turkmenistan has been actively modernizing sectors of the national economy, including electric power, oil and gas, chemical and construction complexes, transport and agriculture. In this context, emphasis was placed on the importance of innovative approaches and interaction with world leaders such as Japan to achieve sustainable development.

Japan is one of Turkmenistan's leading partners in the field of high technology, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, expressing confidence in the effectiveness of further cooperation for both countries in areas such as renewable energy, information technology, ecology and sustainable development.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan highly values cooperation with Japan. Confirming our country's readiness to further strengthen cooperation, the head of state expressed gratitude to Emperor Naruhito for his enormous personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Emperor of Japan expressed confidence that the strategic partnership will continue to strengthen for the benefit of the peoples of the two friendly countries, the news agency notes.
