Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent greetings to participants of the International Forum TEIF 2025
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent greetings to participants of the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments into the Economy of Turkmenistan, which began its work on April 23 in Malaysia, the city of Kuala Lumpur.
"Today we are implementing large-scale state programs, major projects in the interests of the country and the region, entirely aimed at maintaining high rates of economic growth, implementing an active investment policy, as well as significantly improving the social and living conditions of the people of the independent neutral Fatherland. Expanding the scale of attracting foreign investment is defined as one of the priorities of the Program "Revival of a New Era of Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052", the President noted.
"For these purposes, the legal framework in our country is being improved in accordance with international standards, benefits and guarantees are provided for foreign investors, and close cooperation is being established with reputable international financial institutions and banks," the head of Turkmenistan continued.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that "Currently, Turkmenistan is implementing projects to develop the leading segments of the economy - fuel and energy, construction and industrial, chemical and transport and communications complexes, as well as the private sector. All of them are focused on the long-term perspective, and great importance is attached to their joint implementation with international investors and partners".
"As an energy power, Turkmenistan is consistently increasing the potential of the fuel and energy sector: the colossal investments directed into it, in accordance with the energy strategy pursued in the country, make it possible to increase the efficiency of geological exploration and drilling operations, increase oil and gas production, which in general ensures the stable development of the processing industry. Mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign companies in the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea and onshore through production sharing agreements is aimed at increasing the volume of oil and gas production. Strengthening the measures taken in this area remains one of the priorities," the President's message noted.
"The current tasks also include the development of the Galkynysh gas field, the consistent and effective construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, transport corridors and power lines along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route. Successful implementation of these projects will make a significant contribution to increasing the diversification of the fuel and energy sector and maintaining energy security in the region," the head of state emphasized.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the forum participants "will be able to discuss issues of developing hydrocarbon resources, the export potential of gas pipelines, processing natural gas, as well as priority areas for attracting investment in the gas chemical industry in order to exchange experiences".
“I am confident that relevant proposals will be made in such relevant areas as construction, transport, information and communication technologies, industrial production, agriculture, export of textile and food products, reduction of methane and carbon dioxide emissions, and “green” energy,” the President of Turkmenistan emphasized.
