On October 15, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony to lay the foundation for a mineral fertilizer production complex at the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat, reports TDH.

Currently, the chemical industry of our country is rapidly developing and becoming a crucial part of the national economic diversification strategy. Turkmenistan's vast natural resources provide the industry with a reliable raw material base. Turkmenistan is not only a raw material exporter but also places special emphasis on deep processing, fostering a modern, high-tech, and competitive chemical industry.

The presidential aircraft, having departed from the capital, landed after some time at Turkmenabat International Airport, where the Head of State was greeted by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, and the head of Lebap region. Cultural figures and artists performed musical pieces for the occasion.

Subsequently, the President of Turkmenistan proceeded to the site of the ceremony. After watching the musical performances, Hero Arkadagly Serdar visited a specially equipped conference hall and delivered a speech.

The Head of State congratulated the participants of the groundbreaking ceremony for the new complex on this joyous occasion, emphasizing that the chemical industry is one of the most important sectors of the economy.

It was noted that this project is being implemented by the State Concern "Turkmenchemistry" and the Korean company "Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd". The new complex will have an annual production capacity of 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate. The commissioning of the complex will significantly increase the production capacity of the country's chemical industry.
