Turkmenistan delegation participates in Baku Energy Week
A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Kemal Durdyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengas, is participating in Baku Energy Week, a major energy event taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from June 1 to 3, 2026.
The event focuses on green energy and energy security, as well as the traditional oil and gas sector.
As part of the event, a bilateral meeting was held between Kemal Durdyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengas, and Elshad Nasyrov, Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). During the meeting, the parties praised the strengthening of traditional energy cooperation between the two countries and discussed a number of issues related to new areas of cooperation.
The parties also discussed their readiness to continue bilateral cooperation based on existing opportunities. Following the talks, the parties confirmed the importance of consistently developing strategic cooperation and expanding practical ties, the Turkmenistan International Information Center reports.
