Government meeting discussed the fuel and energy sector's performance for January-May 2026

On June 5, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review the country's work over the first five months of this year, TDH reports.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the country's progress in January-May 2026 to increase oil and gas production and expand supply routes to global markets.

As reported, the State Concern Turkmennebit fulfilled its oil production plan by 107.6 percent.

During the same period, the refineries' oil refining plan was fulfilled by 104.6 percent. The gasoline production plan was fulfilled by 110 percent, diesel fuel by 110.4 percent, lubricants by 124.1 percent, and liquefied gas by 111.4 percent.

The natural and associated gas production plan was fulfilled by 106.6 percent.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of maintaining the pace of work to increase natural gas and oil production and the widespread introduction of modern technologies into the fuel and energy sector.

At the same time, the head of state emphasized the need to focus on measures to bring production to full capacity and ensure their uninterrupted operation.

The Vice-Chairman was also instructed to improve the efficiency of geological exploration and drilling operations.
