Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov attended the Ambassadors’ Dinner 2026, a traditional diplomatic dinner, organized by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad, as the guest of honour. The event brought together heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country and representatives of the business community, according to the website of the Turkmen diplomatic agency.

During the event, the parties discussed prospects for trade and economic cooperation and the strengthening of regional ties.

In his speech, Atajan Movlamov highlighted Turkmenistan’s large-scale regional strategy. He specially noted the establishment of the Arkadagyň ak ýoly unified transit and energy corridor and the advancement of key infrastructure projects, including the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power transmission line.

The Ambassador announced plans to complete the construction of the Serhetabat – Herat section of the gas pipeline this year; this will enable the commencement of Turkmen gas supplies to Afghanistan in 2027 and make a significant contribution to the energy security and economic growth of the entire region, including Pakistan.

Participants agreed that such events serve as an effective platform for strengthening business contacts and launching mutually beneficial joint projects.
