On November 6, a progress review meeting was held at the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan, covering the results of activities over the first ten months of the year, being held under the motto: “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.” The meeting addressed the objectives set before the oil and gas sector by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital format on November 5, which focused on the development outcomes across various sectors of the national economy. Specific directions for advancing work in this sphere were also defined.

Opening the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov emphasized that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov places great trust in the employees of the oil and gas industry. The Head of State is creating every opportunity to enhance the sector’s activities: production facilities are being systematically modernized, and advanced machinery, equipment and innovative technologies are being introduced, all of which underpin the significant tasks now assigned to the industry.

During the meeting, reports on the results of the first ten months of the year were presented by the Chairman of the Türkmennebit State Concern Guvanch Agajanov, the State Minister – Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern Maksat Babayev, the Chairman of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation Berdymurat Amanov and the heads of various associations, directorates, institutions and enterprises within the complex. As noted during the presentations, ongoing efforts are focused on further diversifying the complex, increasing the efficiency of geological exploration, discovering new oil and gas condensate fields and developing cooperation in these areas with leading global companies.

At the reporting meeting, particular attention was paid to discussions regarding the construction of the Serhetabat–Herat section of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline, with an emphasis on ensuring that work at this final stage meets modern standards. Other topics addressed included the phased development of the Galkynyş gas field; the organization of the uninterrupted operation of production facilities under various weather conditions as the winter season approaches; the proper organization of seasonal operations; the outcomes of the International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026” (OGT-2026), held in Ashgabat on October 21-23; and other key areas of focus.

The Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov highlighted the importance of maintaining constant oversight of major projects within the country’s oil and gas sector, the broad introduction of modern technologies, the proper fulfillment of production and development plans and the systematic professional development of specialists. He also underscored the need for thorough preparations for the forthcoming celebrations of the International Day of Neutrality and the Day of Oil and Gas Industry and Geology Workers, both of which are widely observed in December, and outlined specific tasks for the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns and the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister wished all industry personnel every labor success in achieving the development goals for the oil and gas sector as set forth by the esteemed President.
