The united team of the Dashoguz hydrogeological expedition of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation successfully completed the year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar” and with great enthusiasm began to solve the tasks of the coming 2024.

During a conversation with employees of the Expedition, which is the only team in this specialized area, they noted that the previous year had been one of the most successful for them. According to them, as a result of the joint efforts of the participants of the Expedition, in accordance with the plan of geological research activities approved by the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation for 2023, various geological research activities were carried out in order to explore groundwater deposits in the vast northern region, work on mechanical column drilling, geophysical research in wells, the development of geological and geophysical data obtained as a result of field work, hydrogeological, engineering-geological and geoecological photography and the calculations of the hydrogeological structure of the velayat and groundwater resources was done, and their formalization and accounting were performed.

In particular, over the past year, the Expedition, which carried out research and monitoring of underground fresh water reservoirs in the northern region of the country and geo-ecological research on a scale of 1:50,000 and 1:200,000, completed the annual water exploration drilling plan by 120.76 percent.

“Guided by the doctrine of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag “The state is for people!”, water resource prospectors are also carrying out effective work to provide the urban and rural population of the velayat with clean drinking water. For example, in 2023, the drillers of our Expedition carried out detailed prospecting and research work on groundwater in order to provide residents of the villages of the Akdepe, Boldumsaz and Gerogly etraps with clean drinking water and also consistently carried out work on drilling wells under contract for various sectors of the national economy. As a result, a detailed study of groundwater was successfully completed to provide water to rural settlements of the Zahmet gengeshlik, Akdepe etrap.

“Since the beginning of the year, in addition to the above work, the watermen of our Expedition have been carrying out geo-ecological, engineering-geological and hydrogeological surveys at a high pace in the vastness of the Karakum steppes, along the riverbed from the Zengi Baba reservoir to Turkmen Lake Altyn Asyr and in the adjacent territories. We will continue the work we have begun in an organized manner and thereby add to the list of labor victories of our team,” Annamuhammet Bayarov, chief hydrogeologist of the Dashoguz hydrogeological expedition says.

Indeed, the beginning of the year is a time to plan new trends, new goals and new initiatives. At the beginning of the year, a work plan for the whole year is drawn up, and high goals and a clear vision of the future are outlined.
