Today, May 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the commissioning ceremony of the Yashlyk water treatment plant with a capacity of 30 thousand cubic meters of water per day, located in the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal region, TDH reports.
Caring for the well-being of the people, systematically improving the level and quality of life of people are a priority of the state policy of Turkmenistan, implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Large-scale programs successfully implemented in our country are aimed at achieving these goals, including the National Program for transforming the social and living conditions of the population of villages, etrap towns and etrap centers for the period until 2028. At the same time, one of the key tasks is to provide Turkmen citizens with clean drinking water.
Turkmenistan has significant experience in prudent and efficient water use. From time immemorial, the Turkmen people have been characterized by a careful attitude towards water. In the modern era, these wise traditions are embodied in comprehensive measures to modernize the water infrastructure, in the widespread introduction into practice of scientific achievements and innovative environmentally friendly water-saving technologies. Our country pays constant attention to improving approaches to water resource management and their protection, creating additional water reserves, improving water supply to cities and villages, increasing the capacity of reservoirs, the carrying capacity of rivers, irrigation and collector networks. For these purposes, specialized projects are being implemented; specialized machinery and equipment of the latest modifications are purchased for the industry.
