Gas workers of Lebap region exceeded the plan for the production of "blue fuel" for nine months
Specialists of the gas production department of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan "Lebapgazchykarysh" exceeded the plan for the nine months of 2024 for the production of natural gas. In January-September of this year, 43 million cubic meters more of "blue fuel" were produced than planned. The planned figure was 7.52 billion cubic meters of gas.
The increase in gas production was facilitated by the commissioning of new wells. Thus, a well was drilled at the Tachmyradov site, producing 389 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
Currently, drilling work is underway at the Chartak, Kolyaka, Tebigy, Demirgazyk, Kosehor and Hazarly sites. All of them are located on the territory of the Lebap region. During this year, an industrial flow of "blue fuel" was obtained at the Chartak site. Gas deposits were discovered at a depth of 2,450 meters.
These achievements were the result of large-scale geological exploration work carried out by specialists of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology". Thanks to their efforts, significant reserves of natural gas were discovered in the depths of the Lebap region.
In order to improve the efficiency of gas production and increase the volume of its transportation, the region is actively modernizing production facilities. Thus, several years ago, a gas compressor station was put into operation at the Malay field, which increased the yield of existing wells.
Natural gas produced in the Lebap region is mainly exported. The main consumer of Turkmen "blue fuel" is China.
