Young hockey players of the gas industry win a confident victory

On the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality, from November 19 till December 5, 2014, the Sports School of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports held an open championship of the sports school in ice hockey among teenagers born in 2010–2014.

The tournament was held in the sports complex of the winter games in Ashgabat with the aim of developing, popularizing, improving the skills of young hockey players, stimulating young people, attracting them to sports and identifying the strongest teams and players of Turkmenistan. The competitions were held in an interesting and exciting atmosphere.

In the open championship, young athletes of the Oguzhan Hockey Club of the Türkmengazawtomatika Directorate of the Türkmengaz State Concern also took part. As is known, the Oguzhan players are among the strongest hockey players in the country.

This time, the team of the gas sector once again managed to distinguish themselves in the competition with their skills. As a result, the Oguzhan team confidently defeated all their rivals and took the first place, being awarded an honorary diploma and the open championship cup.

Based on the results of the matches and according to the jury’s decision, Yusup Geldymuradov was recognized as the most experienced defender of the tournament, and Davut Adylov was recognized as the most experienced forward. Both hockey players represent the Oguzhan club.
