ASHGABAT, November 15. The inclusive festival titled "We are Different, We are Equal" took place at the capital's "Ashgabat" Park. The event, which has been held regularly for the past four years, was organized by the UN Country Team in Turkmenistan in cooperation with local public organizations and with the support of the Government of Turkmenistan.

The festival was timed to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Its main objective was to demonstrate that creating a comfortable and accessible environment is a key condition for the full participation of people with disabilities in public life.

The park territory was divided into thematic zones: sports and entertainment, information and education, and music and creativity. Visitors were particularly interested in the exhibition of creative works produced by people with disabilities, including paintings, soft toys, and handmade souvenirs. Engaging competitions in tennis and chess were held, and participants also performed vocal and dance numbers.

A significant part of the program was the exhibition by the public organization «Young naturalist», dedicated to environmental protection and careful attitude towards nature. Specialists from the organization conducted games aimed at developing talents, perseverance, and quick wit. It was highlighted that all game equipment was made from recycled materials, serving as a visual call for a responsible approach to nature.

Upon completion of the event, the organizers presented souvenir gifts to the active participants. The festival, which left everyone present with warm memories, once again confirmed that the issues of citizens' well-being and ensuring their happy lives are a priority and under the constant attention of the state.
